The CV90 Coalition was initiated by Sweden and includes Denmark, Estonia, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Finland and the Czech Republic. Ukraine joined the coalition in September 2023.

According to the latest press release of the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting, representatives of Ukraine and Sweden discussed the financial terms and commitments of Ukraine regarding participation in the project, as well as the terms, conditions and mechanisms of procurement of the IFV CV90.

In January 2024, the Swedish Defense Materiel Agency received approval from its government to conduct negotiations for the conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement on the supply of IFV CV90 to Ukraine.

“This agreement will not only allow for a single delivery of weapons, but will also facilitate broad cooperation in the defense industry, including the possible localization of production in Ukraine,” summarized Dmytro Klimenkov.
