Intellihealth, the obesity-focused health technology company, has hired Annie Lorenzo as executive vice president of clinical operations.
She will manage the clinical operations staff at Flyte Medical, Intellihealth’s clinical services subsidiary.
Flyte offers users access to metabolic health specialists, including nurse practitioners, physicians and registered dietitians focused on providing obesity care through Evolve, Intellihealth’s digital health platform.
Lorenzo was previously vice president of professional services at the digital respiratory health company. Propeller health. She was also vice president of operations and business development at Higi, a maker of health screening kiosks found in supermarkets and pharmacies.
She was vice president of US clinical operations at the now-defunct London-based multinational digital health company. Babylon, following Babylon’s acquisition of Higi. She was COO of CirrusMD and VP of Sales Operations at MDLive.

Health technology company. athenahealth announced the appointment of David Minkin as CEO of the company’s digital clinical decision support subsidiary, epocrates.
athenahealth, a provider of cloud-based EHR and practice management software, acquired epocrates, a provider of mobile medical applications, for about $293 million in cash in 2013.
Minkin previously worked at Dow Jones/News Corp and, at athenahealth, will oversee epocrates’ strategy, growth and operations.
