On this week’s edition of the Her Huddle podcast, Hannah Wilkes and Phoebe Schecter joined Around the NFL podcast hero Gregg Rosenthal to preview Sunday’s NFL game in London between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans.
It was an offseason of change in Baltimore when Todd Monken arrived from college football national champions Georgia to lead a new era for the Ravens’ offense. In replacing Greg Roman, he sought to install the most diverse offense yet, designed to not only preserve Lamar Jackson’s explosiveness but also showcase his aerial talent in a more expansive passing attack.
“For me, Lamar Jackson is different, I was curious what he would look like in this offense,” Rosenthal said in Your group. “I know they (the Ravens) are 3-2 and they’ve wasted two games they shouldn’t have, but as a Lamar Jackson fan this is what I’ve always wanted, which is a normal offense.
“That’s not just a unique, creative, hard-to-stop running game, it’s like ‘ohh, there are wide receivers on the field, I haven’t seen that in the past!’

“They still have a good running game because Todd Monken runs it, the offensive line is good and Lamar improves the running game. But you see Odell Beckham open, Zay Flowers open, Mark Andrews open; I see Lamar more accurate and better out of the pocket .
“I know people will say ‘Lamar’s always been good from the pocket,’ but guys get better as they get older, mentally he’s even better than he was four years ago and he’s playing really well.”
Derrick Henry remains the ever-familiar heartbreak for Tennessee’s offense as it faces a Ravens defense that ranked second through all five weeks of this season.
“Henry is very difficult if he can get to the second level, take him down,” Rosenthal added. “Roquan Smith on the Ravens defense has been one of the best defensive players in the league, and he is key to that.

“They lose a lot of players, but they are so well trained that it is difficult to compete against them.
“If he can get to the second level, he can make big plays. I would love to see him have a great long career. It’s not just him, though. They have a rookie, Tyjae Spears, who went to my alma mater, Tulane, he’s having a really nice impact as a second runner.”
Which Titans team will appear?
Dan Hanzus and Marc Sessler of the Around the NFL podcast preview the London game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans.
Around the NFL podcast hero Dan Hanzus has questioned which Mike Vrabel-led Titans team will show up in London this weekend amid their back-and-forth form that has seen them overcome the Cincinnati Bengals and lose against the Indianapolis Colts in recent weeks.
“The Titans are a team that’s tough to figure out week in and week out, but they have playoff potential,” Hanzus said. sky sports this week.
“Their offense ranks near the bottom of the league in many categories, but there are pieces there. They added a veteran receiver in DeAndre Hopkins who has really played well for them, Ryan Tannehill is a veteran quarterback who has shown before he can .lead a team to a deep playoff run.
“King Henry (Derrick Henry) is one of the great running backs of his era, he will be tough against the Ravens defense, but he has the ability to go 150 yards.”
Odell Beckham Jr shows his excitement about being able to link up with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and says he’s worth all the money in the world
Meanwhile, Marc Sessler prepares to face the most dynamic and dangerous MVP-winning Jackson yet as the Ravens look to get around the Titans’ severe run blocking.
“They’ve been very good on the Titans, and it all starts with their quarterback play,” Sessler said. “I really think Tennessee’s strength in most games has been their run defense, and Baltimore wants to attack you with the run, but they’re much more competent through the air now.
“This is a much more different Ravens offense through the air than we’ve seen in the past. We’re getting the best version of Lamar Jackson we’ve had in a long time.”
