He made this disclosure on his official Twitter account on Friday, October 13, 2023, highlighting that the commission sent officials to his grandmother’s farm at 5 am for what he called a “random raid.”
According to their tweet, officials had no warrant or intelligence for the raid. Dasilva also stated that since then nothing has been done regarding the neighbors’ complaints.
He tweeted, “EFCC raided my grandmother’s property in Lekki this morning at 5am. No intelligence, no warrant, unfortunately just a random raid. I woke up and they discussed it on their real estate platform. The citizens are speaking now and no one is listening until this turns into protests. This is ridiculous.”
In the screenshot released, the person who spoke to him stated that they witnessed EFCC officials breaking down a woman’s door and leaving after realizing that it was a woman’s house.
Dasilva is not the first celebrity to criticize the EFCC this week. On October 10, 2023, Nigerian singer Skales dragged the commission for raiding his house in the middle of the night. He criticized EFCC on his Twitter account for barging in and scaring him and his family, as well as hurting his producer.
